Details:
Obsessions and compulsive behaviour are gradually being recognized as a problem for many thousands of people. Many sufferers feel reluctant to seek help from their doctor, but this book breaks new ground in offering them a full self-help guide. The principles of anxiety reduction are explained and instructions to help you cope are given in easy-to-understand language. Self-help suggestions are based on established techniques, alongside the new approaches that are currently being developed. There is advice here for a range of obsessional problems, including compulsive checking, washing and hoarding, obsessional thoughts and worry and obsessional personality, and the depression they can all cause. For sufferers from this hidden problem this book offers a new life-line to a new, anxiety-free life.
